Key Highlights of the Zen Zen Experience
What sets Zen Zen Sushi And Teriyaki apart in the competitive culinary landscape? It is the consistent focus on quality, presentation, and the breadth of their offerings. Here are a few aspects that define the restaurant’s appeal:
Commitment to Freshness and Quality Sourcing: The foundation of exceptional sushi lies in the quality of the fish. Zen Zen places significant emphasis on sourcing the freshest seafood available, ensuring that every piece of nigiri or roll delivers the clean, vibrant taste that true aficionados expect. This dedication extends to the vegetables and rice, where attention to detail ensures textural perfection in every bite.
Mastery of Both Sushi and Teriyaki Arts: The restaurant successfully bridges two distinct, yet equally important, pillars of Japanese dining. Patrons can seamlessly transition from the delicate, raw artistry of the sushi bar to the smoky, umami-rich flavors of their signature teriyaki preparations. This dual specialization means that groups with varied preferences can all find something exceptional to enjoy.
Artful Presentation and Ambiance: Dining at Zen Zen is a visual experience as much as a gastronomic one. The chefs take pride in the aesthetic arrangement of their dishes, utilizing color, shape, and negative space to elevate the meal. This thoughtful presentation enhances the overall enjoyment and reflects the restaurant’s deep respect for the dining ritual.
A Welcoming Community Hub: Located centrally in Central Point, the restaurant serves as a gathering spot. The staff aims to provide service that is attentive yet unobtrusive, fostering an environment where guests feel valued. It is a place designed for both quick, satisfying lunches and relaxed, lingering dinners with friends and family.
The Intersection of Tradition and Modern Dining
In today’s fast-paced environment, finding a dining experience that encourages slowing down and appreciating craftsmanship is increasingly rare. Zen Zen Sushi And Teriyaki achieves this balance beautifully. They respect the centuries-old traditions of Japanese culinary arts—the precision required for slicing fish, the perfect seasoning of sushi rice—while remaining adaptable to contemporary tastes and dietary considerations. This thoughtful approach ensures that whether you are a purist seeking traditional Edomae-style offerings or someone looking for innovative, contemporary rolls, your expectations will likely be met or exceeded.
The teriyaki side of the menu showcases a mastery of grilling and sauce reduction. The sauces are complex, often featuring subtle notes of sweetness, acidity, and savory depth that cling perfectly to high-quality proteins. It is this dedication to achieving depth of flavor across their entire menu—from the simplest miso soup to the most elaborate specialty roll—that solidifies Zen Zen’s reputation.
Concluding Your Culinary Journey

They had a new menu and I was really impressed with the food. If you haven't gone in a few years it's worth trying again. I really enjoyed the curry udon. My son said the central point roll was great, he orders that every time. Is like to go back and other things on their new menu. More

I was pleased with the amount and quality of traditional Japanese food. The price was incredibly good for the quality. This great little downtown restaurant will be on our regular go to list for our lunches. More

We haven't had sushi in a while, nor Zen Zen. Better than we remembered and very good! I had the yakisoba noodles, yum! My bf had the bento bowl, also yum! And we had 4 different rolls, all delish and fresh tasting. Definitely will not wait so long for our next visit. We ordered out so I can't comment on anything but the food

One of the best Shushi I have had. Their rice measurements are spot on. Not too much rise with enough protein. The service was spectacular. Very attentive and friendly. Their teriyaki sauce is pretty good. Will come again! Chef’s choice is a good plate to have.
